Medicine Man (1992) is a rainforest adventure-eco-thriller-meets-romantic-comedy, starring Sean Connery as a researcher doggedly pursuing a cure for cancer in the Amazonian rainforest, with Lorraine Bracco as the biochemist sent to check on his progress.
