Grateful Dead rhythm guitarist and vocalist Bob Weir is a core member of the Kingfish. Produced by Dan Healy and Bob Weir, it showcases an energetic, rootsy blend of country rock, folk rock, and blues. The lineup consists of Dave Torbert (bass/vocals), Matthew Kelly (guitar/harmonica/vocals), Robby Hoddinott (lead guitar), Chris Herold (drums), and Bob Weir.
