Best kept secret', an amplifying and updated take on the classic Grind Osaka concept, is finally revealed in it's first full-length album.Slug, a cutting-edge extreme/aggressive music band from Osaka whose name has been floating around in recent years, finally reveals it's full form with the release of it's first full-length album.Formed in 2019, Slug, a six-member band consisting of vocalist, two guitarists, noise, bassist, and drummer, has expanded it's sense of secrecy and tension by keeping almost no information other than the live performances and the sound experienced there, and by not even releasing group shots. They released 'SLUG_TAPE_1' in 2020 and 'SLUG_TAPE_2' in 2023. Both will be released in elaborately bound cassette format, presenting a unique worldview beyond the sound source alone. When they performed with EARTH/MERZBOW/ENDON at the Todoroki Heavy Music Festival 'Leave them all behind 2024,' they gave a shocking performance in complete darkness, instantly raising expectations even in more open scenes.Their pitch-black sound, based on sludge/grind/crust mannerisms, has an extreme feel, but is compelling with meticulously crafted riffs and diverse rhythm patterns, and a strong performance. The curse and sorrowful vocals that pierce the wall of sound that is applied to all parts without leaving a single gap are a masterpiece.
