Pre-Order: Lifeblud - Esse Quam Videri

Seelie Court - the world's premier label for rare and previously unreleased archive recordings of underground folk, rock, proto-metal, and psychedelic music presents Esse Quam Videri. Lifeblud created a unique style of folk-inflected progressive rock acting as a serene vehicle for the poetic lyrics. An air of resignation is palpable in the delivery, as is a sense of awe in the face of Nature's majesty - especially in Oakenshade and the astonishingly beautiful hymn, Waxing of the Moon. These are Lifeblud's earliest surviving recordings, carefully restored from an excellent condition acetate in New Zealand, the other copy that still exists is in very poor condition, in an Austrian collection. Lifeblud made a second acetate LP also at Trusound (later SRT) in late 1970 which remains lost (if anyone has it, please contact us). Studio tapes from 1971 will be forthcoming as will a live recording, currently undergoing restoration. This later material includes songs from Lifeblud's heavier phase, which approaches High Tide territory.
