Just like the photographs in the book, these pieces are early precursors that would evolve in the ensuing years with the albums \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eZauberberg\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eKönigsforst\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e into a style-defining, audiovisual \"Gesamtkunstwerk\" (total work of art) comprising hypnotically focused forest imagery and an abstract, psychedelic wash of sound created by alphorn and bass drum. The album is now available on vinyl for the first time. This effectively completes the existing GAS vinyl series by adding the \"first\" album, which had previously been missing. The cover art makes direct reference to the album \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eOktember\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, released in 1999.
